New York Red Bulls II are set to host Inter Miami CF II at MSU Soccer Park for the club’s first home match in MLS NEXT Pro this season.
Alan Rutkowski starts in net for the first time this season. The back line will remain the same from New York’s season opener, with Omar Valencia, Aidan O’Connor, Juan Gutierrez and Juan Mina all starting.
Steven Sserwadda and Ronald Donkor will occupy the defensive midfield role, with Ibrahim Kasule and Mohammed Sofo focusing on the attacking end. Donkor is coming off playing in yesterday’s first team match after being subbed on in the 87th minute.
The attack is rounded out by two first team contracted players, Julian Hall and Roald Mitchell. Hall and Mitchell both appeared in yesterday afternoon’s first team match, with Hall registering 11 minutes and Mitchell logging three. Mitchell, the Montclair native, will be playing at MSU Soccer Park for the first time since 2021 when he featured in 10 USL Championship matches for New York Red Bulls II.
On the bench for New York is Dallas Odle, Copeland Berkley, Davi Alexandre, Bento Estrela, Dylan Sullivan, Aiden Jarvis, Adri Mehmeti, Malick Dembele, and Frank Ssebufu. This will be Odle’s first appearance on a matchday roster since signing with the club on March 15. Alexandre and Estrela are first team Homegrown contracted players. Berkley, Jarvis, and Mehmeti are all Red Bulls Academy players.
