New York Red Bulls II Name Daniel Gutierrez and Jeremy Proud as Assistant Coaches

HARRISON, N.J. (February 17, 2023)- New York Red Bulls II has named Daniel Gutierrez and Jeremy Proud as its assistant coaches for the team’s inaugural season in MLS NEXT Pro, the club announced today.

Daniel Gutierrez will enter his first season as an assistant coach with the New York Red Bulls II in 2023.

Gutierrez has been with the New York Red Bulls organization for over three years, serving as an Academy Head Coach for U-12 and U-13. In July of last year, he was called up by Head Coach Ibrahim Sekagya to serve as an assistant for Red Bulls II. Daniel has a long experience of developing young talent throughout the country, making stops in Atlanta and Florida before ending up in New York.

Jeremy Proud will enter his third season as the goalkeeper coach for New York Red Bulls II in 2023.

Proud is continuing his journey with the Red Bulls organization, having been an Academy coach in the two years previous to his time with Red Bulls II. Before his time with the organization, Proud spent 14 years coaching at the Men’s NCAA Division One level. He spent these years with the University of Akron, University of Louisville, Loyola University of Chicago, and SIUE.

Proud also played at the collegiate level, leaving Fresno State University as the all-time saves leader while earning All-Pac 10 honors in his senior year
