None of the New York Red Bulls’ 15 unprotected players were chosen as part of the 2011 MLS Expansion Draft.

Brian Ching, previously of the Houston Dynamo, was the first player selected, making him one of 10 total players chosen by the Montreal Impact.

Montreal's picks were comprised of six defenders, two midfielders and two forwards from a variety of MLS sides.

Here is the full alphabetical list of those selected, complete with their previous team in parentheses:

Jeb Brovsky – Defender/Midfielder (Vancouver)

Bobby Burling – Defender (San Jose)

Brian Ching – Forward (Houston)

Josh Gardner – Forward (Columbus)

Justin Mapp – Midfielder (Philadelphia)

Sanna Nyassi – Midfielder/Forward (Colorado)

James Riley – Defender (Seattle)

Seth Sinovic – Defender (Sporting KC)

Zarek Valentin – Defender (Chivas USA)

Collen Warner – Defender (Real Salt Lake)

Once the 10 players were chosen, Montreal proceeded to swing two separate roster moves. They sent the previously selected Riley to Chivas for forward Justin Braun and midfielder Gerson Mayen and acquired Seattle Sounders left back Tyson Wahl in exchange for allocation money.
