HARRISON, N.J. (June 12, 2025) – Red Bulls Academy U-15, U-16, and U18 sides head to 2025 MLS NEXT Cup in Nashville Tennessee at the Richard Siegal Soccer Complex from June 14 to June 22.
The U-15s are set to face St Louis SC in the Round of 32 on June 14 at 9 a.m. ET.
The squad finished fifth in the U-15 Mid-Atlantic Division going 10-4-2 for 32 points. They’ve ended the season strong, winning three of their last four league matches.
The U-15s booked their ticket to the MLS NEXT Cup when they finished at the top of Group P in 2025 MLS NEXT Flex. The side won all three-group stage matches and scored 14 goals while only conceding one. They opened play with a 6-0 win over Atletico Santa Rosa, then New York defeated Chula Vista FC 7-1 on Day 2. The U-15s wrapped up group play with a crucial 1-0 victory against Nashville SC.
“Our mindset is simple. One game at a time. We open against St. Louis, and for us, that’s the most important game of the season.” Says Head Coach Jose Jimenez, “we’re preparing to compete. It’s been a year of ups and downs, as is expected at U-15 age, but we’re focused on delivering our best performance at the final event of the season.”
The U-16s will face Inter Miami CF Academy in the Round of 32 on June 14, at 9:15 p.m. ET.
The group finished top of the U-16 East (North) Division going 8-4-2 for 26 points. They closed their season going undefeated through their final three matches. The squad was last in action on May 31 when they drew Inter Miami CF 3-3 at Red Bulls Training Facility.
U-16s had a very strong showing at 2025 MLS NEXT FLEX, where they went unbeaten in Group E. They opened the competition with a 5-1 victory over Weston FC. On Day 2, New York got into a seven-goal thriller 4-3 win against Intercontinental Football Academy of New England. They completed group play with a 11:10 penalty kick shootout win over Real Salt Lake.
“As we approach the season's final event, my mindset is on preparing the team to showcase their talent through teamwork, game intelligence, and strong work ethic.” Says Head Coach Simon Nee, “They've worked hard all season, and now they have one last chance to compete for the U-16 national championship. Each game is an opportunity to demonstrate their talent and character. We're ready to face every challenge with passion, determination, and a commitment to playing the Red Bull way."
The U-18s will play Seattle Sounders in the Round of 32 on June 15 at 9:15 p.m. ET.
The side finished third in the U-19 East (North) Division going 7-3-4 for 25 points. They finished their season going unbeaten in their final four matches, winning three of them. The group clinched their spot into 2025 MLS NEXT Cup via a 1-1 draw to Inter Miami CF on the final match of league play on May 31 at Red Bulls Training Facility.
At 2025 MLS NEXT Flex the U-18s finished second in Group E. On Day 1, they earned a convincing 5-0 win over City SC San Diego. After the group lost 2-0 to Miami Futbol Academy Rush. On Day 3 they fought Real Salt Lake to a 2-2 draw and fell 5-3 in a penalty kick shootout.
