Academy Match Recap: 10/24 & 10/25

New York Red Bulls Academy teams had an 4-2-0 record on the weekend with a total of 20 goals scored and only six goals allowed.


Red Bulls U-17ā€™s defeated Cedar Stars Monmouth, 4-0. Nicholas Rabiu opened up the scoring in the 14th minute off a pass from Serge Ngoma. Ngoma scored the second in the 33rd minute, which was assisted by Nico Beninda. Five minutes later, Arian Recinos tallied his first goal of the season. Ngoma finished the scoring in the 44th minute and completed his brace. The U-17ā€™s now have scored 17 goals this season and have only allowed two.  


Red Bulls U-15ā€™s won their third match in a row defeating Cedar Stars Monmouth, 8-1. The match was tied at the end of the first half with Patrick Shaw scoring off a pass from Maddox Ortiz. The U-15ā€™s exploded for seven goals in the second half, with Henry Weston recording a hat trick and Shaw earning a brace and his 11th goal of the season. Andri Frasheri, Lenny Aviles, and Evan Marquez rounded out the scoring. 


Red Bulls U-14ā€™s had two matches this weekend, one against Philadelphia Union and the other against TSF Academy. The U-14ā€™s suffered a 2-1 defeat to Philadelphia on Saturday, with Jaylen Lester recording the lone goal on the day. On Sunday, they defeated TSF Academy, 4-0. Brady Boulanger scored the first goal of the match early on in the first half. In the second half, Jeremy Munoz had a brace and Zidane Yanez added the final goal.


Red Bulls U-13ā€™s suffered their first loss of the season to TSF Academy. Patrick Kolano scored the lone goal of the match and the U-13ā€™s fell short of a comeback. In their second match of the weekend, they defeated Philadelphia Union, 2-1. After being down going into halftime, Aiden Costner and Gil de Souza both recorded second half goals to lead their team past Philadelphia Union. The U-13ā€™s now sit with an 8-1-1 record and have scored 43 goals and allowed seven goals.
