AMSTERDAM – Bursaspor forward Jozy Altidore worked an active second half shift in a scoreless draw with Ankaragücü on Monday.
The US striker, who will now fly out to join coach Bob Bradley's camp in North Carolina, was a bit unlucky not to have helped carve out a home side winner.
First, a sublime feed for Kenny Miller resulted in the Scotland forward missing a sitter wide. Altidore later spun at the top to the area to make his own golden chance, only to fire inches over.
With the result, the holders remain third in the table, nine points adrift of both the top spot and the league's second Champions League invite.
