Bradley Wright-Phillips scored his first goal of the season in the Red Bulls’ home opener against rivals D.C. United. The play began when Dax McCarty booted a long-ball towards Wright-Phillips. The 2014 Golden Boot winner took two touches to set himself up and coolly slotted home the first goal of the game at the back post. The Red Bulls later doubled the lead via Lloyd Sam and clinched their first win of the season, 2-0.
