Mike Grella scored an impressive goal on the volley after an unusual clearance fell in his lap against New England Revolution. In the 6th minute, Kemar Lawrence charged down the left side and sliced in a dangerous low-driven cross. New England defender Jose Goncalves attempted to clear the pass, but instead banged his clearance off the left post. The projectile soared to the top of the 18-yard box where Grella hammered a right-footed shot into the top right corner of the goal to level the match, 1-1.
