New York Red Bulls midfielder Caden Clark may only be 18 years old, but he is already making waves and getting recognized as one of the up-and-coming stars in the sport.

Goal.com recently released their NXGN 2022 list, which ranks the “50 best wonder kids” and features young stars from European giants like Barcelona, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Bayern Munich.

Clark came in at No. 24 in the rankings and drew rave reviews from the staff in charge of the list.

“The 18-year-old, who trained at Barcelona’s academy in Arizona during his youth, earned a call-up to the U.S. men’s national team squad at the end of the 2021 campaign having continued to shine for New York Red Bulls,” said Tom Maston of Goal.com

Of the 50 players on the list, he is one of three American players featured, and one of two currently playing in MLS.

With this honor, Clark becomes the first Red Bulls player to be featured on this prestigious list since it began in 2016. Alumni of the NXGN rankings include global stars like Christian Pulisic, Kylian Mbappe, and Erling Haaland.
