New York Red Bulls midfielder Cristian Casseres Jr. has been named to MLS' 22 Under 22 list, coming in at No. 11.
The 19-year-old started 20 of his 22 appearances in 2019 and recorded three goals and four assists in 1711 minutes played. He scored his first career MLS goal against Minnesota United on April 6.
In 2018, he was called up to the first team and made his MLS debut and first-career start on August 29 vs. Houston Dynamo.
Casseres Jr. has appeared for the Venezuelan U-20 team during the 2019 U-20 South American Championship, starting all four Group A matches and all five Group 1 matches. Since Sept. 7, 2019, he has recorded 14 games started with one assist in 1,020 minutes played across all competitions for Venezuela.
