HARRISON, N.J. (March 7, 2017) – New York Red Bulls Homegrown midfielder Derrick Etienne Jr. has been named to Haiti’s preliminary 30-man roster for the Gold Cup playoff against Nicaragua, according to an announcement by the Haitian Federation.

The two-legged playoff series will take place on March 24 and 28. The winner of the series will move on to the Gold Cup and be placed in group B along with Panama, Martinique and the United States.

Etienne Jr. signed with New York in December of 2015. He has appeared in all three competitive matches this season, entering both Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League matches as a sub, and was on the field for both of New York’s goals in Sunday’s win over Atlanta United FC.
