MIAMI, FL (April 10, 2026) - Utilizing the last FIFA match window prior to the World Cup, Ecuador and Saudi Arabia will face off at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, NJ on May 30th at 7:30 pm (ET). Both teams are laser focused on getting out of the Group Stage this summer. The previous, one-and-only meeting of these two teams was in 2022 and resulted in a 0-0 draw.
Ecuador will enter the tournament having finished in second place in CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying behind the reigning champion, Argentina. This will be their fifth appearance on the world stage. As members of Group E they will face Cote d’Ivoire, Curacao and Germany. Taking over the reigns in 2024, head coach Sebastian Beccacece and young players like Moises Caicedo and Willian Pacho are looking to advance to the knockout stage.
Head Coach Herve Renard, once again at the helm of Saudi Arabian football, is looking to advance Saudi Arabia to the knockout round for only the second time. Last World Cup they beat eventual champion Argentina in the group stage in a remarkable upset that stunned the world. Drawn into Group H, the Green Falcons will face Uruguay, Spain and Cabo Verde.
Pre-sale tickets for the Ecuador vs. Saudi Arabia match at Sports Illustrated Stadium will go on sale on Tuesday, April 14th at 10:00 am (ET). The general public on-sale will begin on Thursday, April 16th at 10:00 am (ET).
