Our new striker, Fábio Roberto Gomes Netto, arrives from Brazil’s Serie B side Oeste on loan. He also has experience playing in Japan’s J2 League where he played for Albirex Niigata.
In 2019, he was Serie B’s second top goalscorer with 15 goals. While playing in Japan, he scored five goals in 19 matches and grabbed two assists.
The 23-year-old striker has played over 40 matches in Serie B. After his loan spell with Albirex Niigata concluded, Fábio returned to Oeste in November 2020 and went on to score five goals.
In his last two games with Oeste against Cruzeiro and Confiança, Fábio wore the captain’s armband and scored the winning goal against Cruzeiro.
