Get to Know: NYRB II Forward Jeremy Rafanello

New York Red Bulls II new forward, Jeremy Rafanello, played for Indy Eleven last season where he made eight appearances. He scored his first professional goal against Sporting Kansas City II on September 9, 2020.


The 20-year-old has played for United States’ Under-19 National Team, most recently appeared at the Nike International Friendlies in 2018.


Rafanello signed his first professional contract with FC Helsingør on July 11, 2019. Prior to that he played for Reading United A.C. in USL League Two during their 2019 season.


The Delran, New Jersey native was a member of the Pennsylvania State University men’s soccer team before he signed his first professional contract. He made 18 appearances and scored three goals. He was named to the Big Ten All-Freshman team in 2018.


Rafanello is a graduate of the Philadelphia Union Academy, where he made two appearances for Philadelphia Union II in 2018 as well.


He played a season of high school soccer at Delran High School before he joined the Union Academy.
