Another game, another shutout, another three points for the New York Red Bulls.
Returning from the international break, the guys took to the field at Red Bull Arena and had their hands full against a dangerous Seattle Sounders squad.
The visitors nearly found the opener in this one, but Connor Lade had other ideas.
Minutes later, the Red Bulls made the Sounders pay for their wasteful ways through a superb effort from Sacha Kljestan and a terrific follow up by Mike Grella.
Get pumped
Grella wasn’t done there as the Long Island native bagged his brace in the second half in quite spectacular fashion.
With Seattle goalkeeper Stefan Frei off his line, Grelladinho pulled off another piece of magic to add to his highlight reel, and a Goal of the Week candidate to boot.
That’s five straight wins for New York over all competitions, outscoring their opposition 14-0 in the process.
