In his first national team appearance since March of 2014, Sacha Kljestan earned a goal and two assists in the 6-0 win over St. Vincent and the Grenadines in World Cup Qualifying. Kljestan showed both the touch and vision that put him at the top of the MLS leaderboard with 15 assists this season. Let's recap the action.
Kljestan subbed on the 66th minute, replacing Alejandro Bedoya with the U.S. ahead 3-0.
It didn’t take long for the Huntingon Beach, California native to show his quality, picking out Christian Pulisic with a perfect pass for the fourth goal in the 71st minute.
We’re pretty sure these two knew they were up to something today.
Pulisic returned the favor minutes later, finding Kljestan in front of goal for a clean finish.
The pair connected again just before the final whistle, with Kljestan losing a defender, finding Pulisic at the top of the box, and laying a pass to his feet.
Not a bad day, boys!
And well played, Sacha! Sending us into the weekend like:
