8. August 2, Dax McCarty’s chip pushes 10-man Red Bulls to victory

Picking up points at home is crucial in MLS. After the Red Bulls went down to 10 men on August 2 against New England already trailing 1-0, three points looked to be out of the question. Dax McCarty had other plans. Shortly after the second half started, McCarty chipped Revolution goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth to pull New York level. Bradley Wright-Phillips would score the winner later as New York came away with the full three points.
