GOLD CUP: Michael Amir Murillo Scores En Route to 3-0 Panama Win, Quarterfinals Berth

New York Red Bulls' defender Michael Amir Murillo scored the opening goal of Panama's 3-0 victory over Martinique in the final game of the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup group stage.


With the win, Panama advance to the quarterfinals of the Gold Cup.


Murillo's header, at the end of the first half, was his second international goal for Panama. His other goal also came against Martinique.





Panama will await the final results of the group stages to see who they play in the next round.


Murillo's goal was assisted by crosstown rivals New York City FC's Miguel Camargo.


The defender started and played the full 90 minutes for his national team.
