Impact: Bernadello, Mancosu Trained Friday, Drogba Did Not

Mancosu

Both Matteo Mancosu and Hernán Bernardello were in training with the Montreal Impact on Friday.

According to Impact reporter Patrick Friolet, their striker and midfielder were both training in Montreal, while controversial striker Didier Drogba was not. The 38-year-old was reportedly receiving treatment on his back, though Drogba often didn't practice two days before games this season.

Friolet noted that Bernadello missed four days of training, but is expected to be ready for Sunday's matchup against the Red Bulls in New York. He had been dealing with a left calf issue.

Mancosu was seen leaving practice earlier this week holding his right hamstring. Mancosu scored the lone goal in Leg 1 of the matchup.

Montreal holds a 1-0 aggregate goal advantage over the Red Bulls heading into the 4 p.m. game on Sunday, presented by Speedway.

New York can advance with a 2-0 win, or any win by two or more goals.

Should New York win 1-0, the match would head into extra time. The teams would play two 15-minute sessions, followed by a penalty shootout, if necessary. The away-goals rule does not count for goals scored in overtime.

Any other one-goal victory by New York would see Montreal advance on the tiebreaker: away goals.
