Following training on Thursday, Head Coach Jesse Marsch provided updates on the status of Aaron Long, Aurelien Collin and Daniel Royer.

Long was not in the 18 for the Red Bulls’ match against D.C. United on Wednesday, which Marsch revealed as a necessary precaution as the MLS season winds down.

“He was feeling a little something and we didn’t want to push it, but now he’s feeling 100 percent,” Marsch said “He feels good and that’s important. We’ve got to have as many pieces available for the home stretch, so Aaron will be back.”

In his first game back since from injury, Royer played 15 minutes as a second-half substitute for the Red Bulls.

Marsch said the midfielder ‘feels good’ and has made a full recovery from his injury, which sidelined him since August 6.

Collin has been suffering from Plantar Fasciitis, but is expected to start training next week.

“I believe he will be out of the boot next week and start running and hopefully training by the end of the week,” Marsch said.
