INSIDE THE 18: Michael Amir Murillo Returns To Starting XI

Michael Amir Murillo returns to the Starting XI for the New York Red Bulls as they are set to take on the Montreal Impact on Saturday night.


Murillo missed New York's previous game due to a suspension.





Murillo will be joined on the back line with Kemar Lawrence, Aaron Long and Damien Perrinelle.


Last week, Lawrence recorded his third assist of the season. He now has nine career points, seven have been game-winning plays. Lawrence has tallied six game-winning assists and one game-winning goal.


Ahead of the defense on the pitch will be Sean Davis, Felipe and Sacha Kljestan. Mike Grella, Daniel Royer and Bradley Wright-Phillips will round out the field players, with Luis Robles in goal.


Last time out, Royer tallied his fourth goald of the season, including two in the last three matches. It was Royer’s second career game-winning goal. The Austrian native’s first game-winning goal came on September 24, 2016 in a 1-0 win over Montreal.


The Red Bulls will have Evan Louro on the bench, with Connor Lade, Sal Zizzo, Alex Muyl, Dan Metzger, Fredrik Gulbrandsen and Gonzalo Veron ready to sub in as needed.


Ryan Meara has a "bit of a back issue," according to Head Coach Jesse Marsch.
