INSIDE THE 18: Red Bulls Resting Regulars in Finale at RFK

The New York Red Bulls have one eye on the Knockout Round of the Audi 2017 MLS Cup Playoffs during the season finale on Sunday.


Veterans Bradley Wright-Phillips and Sacha Kljestan did not make the trip to the final game of the MLS Regular Season against D.C. United, which kicks off at 4 p.m.


On the pitch for first whistle will be Gonzalo Veron at the top, with midfielder Muhamed Keita working as the No. 10.


Vincent Bezecourt will make his second MLS start, controlling the defensive midfield, with Derrick Etienne, Jr. and Dilly Duka pushing the ball forward on the wings.


Michael Amir Murillo, Fidel Escobar and Kemar Lawrence maintain the central defense, with Alex Muyl and Sal Zizzo working as wing backs.


Luis Robles will start in goal for New York.


The bench will see Ryan Meara, Sean Davis, Connor Lade, Tyler Adams and Felipe available to come in as needed.


Aaron Long, Daniel Royer and Damien Perrinelle also did not travel with the team as they rest up for the Knockout Round.
