InsideThe18_16x9

The New York Red Bulls will give Cory Burke his first MLS start with the club on Saturday night as they take on Minnesota United FC at Allianz Field on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.

Burke has made 95 appearances in MLS, including two with the Red Bulls in the first two matchweeks. Burke has scored two career MLS goals against Minnesota United in two career matches. The Jamaican international has recorded 10 shots against the Loons, which is tied fourth for the most shots he has against a single MLS club.

Joining the Jamaican in the attack is Lewis Morgan, Cristian Cásseres Jr. and Luquinhas.

Frankie Amaya and Daniel Edelman lock down the defensive midfield. Edelman is making his first start of 2023.

Kyle Duncan also starts, his first of the ‘23 season. He’s joined on the backline by John Tolkin, Sean Nealis and Andrés Reyes. Carlos Coronel starts in goal.

The Red Bulls defense have only allowed one shot on goal through 180 minutes of action this season, which leads the MLS in that timespan. Coronel recorded his 23rd career MLS clean sheet on Saturday against Nashville SC at Red Bull Arena. He has now tallied 13 career clean sheets at Red Bull Arena and is only four shy of passing Tony Meola for the second most clean sheets in franchise history.

Tom Barlow, Elias Manoel and Dante Vanzeir are available off the bench, as well as Dylan Nealis, Peter Stroud, Omir Fernandez and Hassan Ndam. Ryan Meara will serve as backup goalkeeper.

Kickoff is set for 8:30 p.m. ET on Apple TV MLS Season pass and New York Red Bulls Radio in English via TuneIn, the New York Red Bulls app, and NewYorkRedBulls.com
