INSIDE THE 18: Cory Burke Starts vs. Former Club at Red Bull Arena

Cory Burke, coming off a late game-tying goal in Chicago, will start against the Philadelphia Union, his former club.

Burke joined the Red Bulls after five seasons with Philadelphia. He scored his first goal in a Red Bulls uniform last week, vs. the Fire. Burke has recorded 26 career MLS goals with nine coming from off the bench.

He’s joined in the attack by Elias Manoel and Omir Fernandez.

Dru Yearwood and Cristian Cásseres Jr. lock down the defensive midfield.

John Tolkin, Dylan Nealis, Sean Nealis, Andrés Reyes and Cameron Harper start at the back. Carlos Coronel starts in goal.

This will be the 33rd overall regular season meeting between New York and Philadelphia, with the teams drawing three times in the last five regular season matches. The New York Red Bulls have fourteen wins against the Philadelphia Union.

Ghanaian midfielder Ronald Donkor, signed at the close of the Primary Transfer Window, makes his first matchday roster.

Head Coach Gerhard Struber will have Tom Barlow, Wiki Carmona, Peter Stroud, Daniel Edelman, Hassan Ndam and Jayden Reid available off the bench, as well. Ryan Meara will serve as backup goalkeeper.

Luquinhas, Lewis Morgan, Serge Ngoma, Kyle Duncan, Frankie Amaya, Matt Nocita and Steve Sserwadda all remain out.
