INSIDE THE 18: Elias Manoel, Dante Vanzeir Lead Attack In Philly

In the first Leagues Cup matchup between the two sides, Dante Vanzeir and Elias Manoel will lead the attack for the New York Red Bulls against the Philadelphia Union on Monday night at Subaru Park.

This will be the 42nd overall meeting across all competitions between New York and Philadelphia, with the Union holding the advantage in the series with a 17-16-8 mark. 

Omir Fernandez, Luquinhas, Frankie Amaya and Daniel Edelman complete the midfield.

Fernandez recorded his fifth goal across all competitions this season after scoring the game-winning goal against NYCFC on Thursday. Fernandez has scored three game-winning goals this season, which leads the club and has converted both penalty kicks he has attempted. Fernandez has recorded one goal and one assist in his career against Philadelphia.

Along the backline, John Tolkin, Sean Nealis, Andrés Reyes and Cameron Harper get the start. Carlos Coronel starts in goal.

New York are coming off a 1-0 win against New York City FC in the Round of 32, where the Red Bulls earned their eighth clean sheet of the season across all competitions. 

Head Coach Troy Lesesne will have Tom Barlow, Lewis Morgan, Ronald Donkor, Wiki Carmona, Peter Stroud, Dru Yearwood, Kyle Duncan, Jayden Reid, Matt Nocita and Hassan Ndam available off the bench. Ryan Meara and AJ Marcucci will be the backup goalkeepers.

The Union are unbeaten in their last five matches across all competitions and are coming off a 0-0 draw against D.C. United in the Round of 32, before winning in penalties 5-4. 

Cory Burke, Serge Ngoma, Steve Sserwadda and Dylan Nealis are sidelined.
