InsideThe18_16x9

The New York Red Bulls will see Elias Manoel and Omir Fernandez start at first whistle, as Head Coach Gerhard Struber gives the Brazilian his third start of the season and the Bronx-born Academy product his first of the year.

The Red Bulls won the last meeting between the two clubs on October 9, 2022, at Red Bull Arena, which was a 2-0 win. Forward Elias Manoel scored his first career MLS goal and added a second for his brace.

Luquinhas and Cameron Harper will also push the attack alongside Manoel and Fernandez.

Frankie Amaya and Daniel Edelman will lock down the defensive midfield.

John Tolkin, Andrés Reyes, Sean Nealis and Dylan Nealis start along the backline.

The Red Bulls have only allowed six shots on target through the first four matches of the season, which is the lowest amount to start a season by a team since the Los Angeles Galaxy in 2010. New York have allowed three goals in four matches, which is tied for the fifth lowest in MLS.

Carlos Coronel starts in goal for New York.

RBNY will have Dante Vanzeir, Tom Barlow, Peter Stroud, Wiki Carmona, Dru Yearwood, Hassan Ndam and Matt Nocita available off the bench. Ryan Meara will serve as backup goalkeeper.

Yearwood appears on the matchday roster for the first time in 2023, after working back from an injury suffered in preseason. Carmona also makes his first appearance of the year, following an extended trip with the Venezuelan youth national team.

New York will be without Lewis Morgan for the second-straight match. Cory Burke, Cristian Cásseres Jr. and Steven Sserwadda are away from the team due to international duty.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV and New York Red Bulls Radio in English via TuneIn, the New York Red Bulls app, and NewYorkRedBulls.com.
