INSIDE THE 18: Jorge Cabezas Hurtado Makes First MLS Start

Jorge Cabezas Hurtado, who made his league debut on Saturday, will start for the first time in MLS on Wednesday evening.

Hurtado, who scored for Red Bulls II on Sunday, will start alongside Tom Barlow.

Luquinhas, Frankie Amaya, Dru Yearwood and Peter Stroud start in the midfield for New York.

This will be the 93rd overall regular season meeting between New York and New England, with the Revolution holding the advantage in the series with a 34-31-17 mark. 

John Tolkin, Sean Nealis, Hassan Ndam and Kyle Duncan start along the backline. Carlos Coronel starts in goal.

The Red Bulls are currently on a four-match unbeaten streak across all competitions against New England, including three consecutive wins in MLS play. The last time out between the two clubs in New England, the Red Bulls won 1-0 off an own goal from defender Matt Polster. 

Dante Vanzeir, Omir Fernandez, Wiki Carmona, Ibrahim Kasule, Daniel Edelman, Cameron Harper, Andrés Reyes and Ryan Meara are available off the bench for Head Coach Troy Lesesne.

Carmona scored the game-winning goal against the Revolution on July 8, 2022. This was his second career MLS goal, which both have come against the Revolution. Besides MLS play, Carmona has scored seven goals in nine MLS NEXT Pro appearances.

Elias Manoel, Lewis Morgan, Serge Ngoma, Steven Sserwadda and Dylan Nealis remain sidelined.
