INSIDE THE 18: Omir Fernandez Starts Up Top for New York Red Bulls

Omir Fernandez will get the nod up top for the New York Red Bulls as they face off against Toronto FC on Saturday night.

Fernandez starts with Patryk Klimala suspended following a collision vs. Charlotte FC.

Behind Fernandez, Lewis Morgan and Luquinhas lead the attack. Frankie Amaya and Cristian Cásseres Jr. lock down the defensive midfield.

The Scottish midfielder recorded a first-half hat trick against Toronto FC on March 5. He became the first Red Bulls player to tally a first-half hat trick since Bradley Wright-Phillips on May 28, 2016.

John Tolkin, Aaron Long, Sean Nealis, Tom Edwards and Dylan Nealis start along the back.

Carlos Coronel starts in goal.

Available for Head Coach Gerhard Struber off the bench will be Ryan Meara, Jason Pendant, Cameron Harper, Steven Sserwadda, Zach Ryan, Tom Barlow and Ashley Fletcher.

Dru Yearwood is held off the match roster following a knock in training.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET with coverage on MSG, MSG GO, and New York Red Bulls Radio in English and Spanish via TuneIn, the New York Red Bulls app and NewYorkRedBulls.com.
