Midfielder Cristian Cásseres Jr. is back in the XI, starting in the midfield alongside Sean Davis, who serves as captain.

Davis is making his 24th start in the team's 24th game. He has played every minute of the season so far.

Davis tallied his second assist of the season against Inter Miami CF on Friday, September 17. Davis is currently New York’s active leading assist leader with 21 MLS-regular season assists. In nine appearances against NYCFC, he has recorded two assists. 

Wiki Carmona, Fábio, Omir Fernandez and Patryk Klimala lead the attack for New York, trying to replicate the four goal performance from the Inter Miami match on Friday night.

This will be the ninth meeting between the two clubs at Red Bull Arena, where the Red Bulls own the advantage with a 6-1-1 mark. 

John Tolkin, Andrés Reyes, Sean Nealis and Tom Edwards start on defense, ahead of Carlos Coronel in goal.
