The New York Red Bulls are looking to extend their unbeaten streak to six games vs. Inter Miami CF on Saturday night in Red Bull Arena.
The red-hot Omir Fernandez starts for New York, alongside Frankie Amaya and Wiki Carmona. Patryk Klimala gets the nod up top for RBNY.
Captain Sean Davis and Dru Yearwood will lock down the central midfield, while a back line of Andrew Gutman, Tom Edwards, Sean Nealis and Kyle Duncan will work to stymie any Miami attack.
Gutman scored the game-winning goal in the club’s last match against FC Cincinnati on October 2.
Carlos Coronel starts in goal.
During New York’s five-match unbeaten streak, they have only allowed two goals, which is tied for the second lowest in MLS during that timespan. Coronel has earned three shutouts in the last five matches. He ranks fourth in MLS in shutouts with nine and ranks seventh in saves with 78. After the shutout on October 2, Coronel moved into a tie with Jonny Walker for sixth place in franchise history in shutouts.
New York will have Lucas Monzón making his first appearance on a matchday roster, with Tom Barlow, Caden Clark, Youba Diarra, Cameron Harper, John Tolkin and Danny Royer available. Ryan Meara will serve as backup goalkeeper.
Fábio remains out with a calf injury.
Andrés Reyes will miss the match due to yellow card accumulation, while Cristian Cásseres Jr. is away from the team for international duty.
Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. ET with coverage on Univision, TUDN, and New York Red Bulls Radio in English and Spanish via TuneIn, the New York Red Bulls app and NewYorkRedBulls.com. Following the match, there will be post-match fireworks for the first time this season.
New York Red Bulls Radio begins at 5 p.m. ET with Countdown to Kickoff, presented by Honda, hosted by Matt Harmon and Steve Jolley. Stefano Fusaro will carry the Spanish play-by-play responsibilities, beginning at 5:30 p.m. ET.
