INSIDE THE 18, pres. by Evian: Red Bulls Ready to Take On NYCFC at Red Bull Arena

The first New York Derby of 2021 is upon us.

This will be the 17th all-time regular season meeting between the Red Bulls and NYCFC. The Red Bulls hold a 6-1-1 mark against NYCFC at Red Bull Arena, including three-straight New York Derby wins at home. 

The Red Bulls will see Head Coach Gerhard Struber roll out Tom Edwards, Sean Nealis, Andrés Reyes, Amro Tarek and Andrew Gutman along the backline.

Carlos Coronel will start in goal for New York.

New York recorded their 199th MLS-regular season clean sheet in franchise history on Wednesday, which ranks fifth in league history.

John Tolkin, fresh off his first MLS goal, will start alongside Sean Davis and Caden Clark.

Fábio, tied for fourth in MLS with seven assists, starts up top alongisde Patryk Klimala.

He has tallied three game-winning assists, which have all come at Red Bull Arena this season.

Off the bench, the Red Bulls will have Frankie Amaya, Tom Barlow, Wiki Carmona, Kyle Duncan, Manny Egbo, Omir Fernandez, Jason Pendant and Danny Royer available. Ryan Meara will serve as backup goalkeeper.

Cristian Cásseres Jr. and Cameron Harper remain out. Dru Yearwood started for Red Bulls II on Friday night.

Kickoff at Red Bull Arena is set for 8 p.m. ET with coverage on FS1, FOX Deportes and New York Red Bulls Radio in English and Spanish via TuneIn, the New York Red Bulls app and NewYorkRedBulls.com.

New York Red Bulls Radio begins at 7:30 p.m. EST with Countdown to Kickoff, presented by Honda, hosted by Matt Harmon and Steve Jolley. Stefano Fusaro will carry the Spanish play-by-play responsibilities, beginning at 8 p.m. EST.
