INSIDE THE 18: Red Bulls, Chivas Set for Leagues Cup Clash at Sports Illustrated Stadium

The New York Red Bulls and Chivas de Guadalajara face off on Thursday at Sports Illustrated Stadium at 7:30 PM ET.

Head Coach Sandro Schwarz will deploy Julian Hall, Mohammed Sofo and Wiki Carmona in the attack.

This will be the fifth all-time meeting between the Red Bulls and Chivas Guadalajara, with New York holding the series advantage with a 2-1-1 mark.

Peter Stroud and Ronald Donkor pair in the central midfield.

This will be the first time the clubs have met since the 2018 CONCACAF Champions Cup, where Guadalajara knocked the Red Bulls out of the semifinals.

Raheem Edwards, Dylan Nealis, Sean Nealis, Tim Parker and Rafael Mosquera get the nod along the backline.

New York have posted a 5-3-2 mark against Liga MX teams in their franchise history, including a 3-1-2 mark at home. The Red Bulls are unbeaten at home in their last 11 non-MLS regular season competition matches at Sports Illustrated Stadium.
