Cristian Cásseres Jr. and Frankie Amaya lock down the defensive midfield, with Cásseres fresh off his 100th appearance in MLS with RBNY.
In his career with the Red Bulls, Cásseres, Jr. has scored 13 goals and added 17 assists. The Venezulan international recorded a career-high six assists last season, which was tied for the club lead. Cásseres, Jr. recorded an assist in the last match at Red Bull Arena against Nasvhille SC.
Along the back line, Cameron Harper and John Tolkin work on the outside, with Sean Nealis and Andrés Reyes at centerback.
Since 2010, the Red Bulls are tied for the most points earned at home since 2010 with Seattle Sounders FC at 424 and have recorded the second most wins with 126.
Carlos Coronel starts in net.

The team's newest Designated Player, Dante Vanzeir, is on the matchday roster for the first time, available off the bench. Peter Stroud, Kyle Duncan, Cory Burke, Dylan Nealis, Omir Fernandez, Steven Sserwadda and Daniel Edelman round out the bench. Ryan Meara will serve as backup goalkeeper.
