INSIDE THE 18: Red Bulls Ready for National TV Matchup vs. Charlotte FC

The New York Red Bulls take on Charlotte FC on ABC on Saturday afternoon, with Patryk Klimala leading the attack for RBNY.

Klimala will be supported by Luquinhas, Omir Fernandez and Lewis Morgan in the attack.

Fernandez is tied for second in MLS with six assists on the year.

Luquinhas has five goals and five assists across all competitions since joining the Red Bulls this season, with an offensive impact that most recently featured two scores in the club’s 4-1 win over D.C. United on May 28. The Brazilian star has led the Red Bulls to a 6-1-3 record across all competitions when he starts a match, and the club has gone 6-1-1 in the eight games in which he has recorded either a goal or an assist.

Dru Yearwood and Frankie Amaya start in the defensive midfield.

Sean Nealis, serving as captain, will start alongside his brother, Dylan, in defense. Tom Edwards and John Tolkin round out the defense.

Carlos Coronel starts in goal.

On the bench for New York, Head Coach Gerhard Struber will have Ryan Meara, Jason Pendant, Cameron Harper, Juan Castillo, Caden Clark, Zach Ryan, Tom Barlow and Ashley Fletcher available.

Fletcher and Harper return to the matchday roster after missing time due to injuries.

Cristian Cásseres Jr. is in the league's health and safety protocols. Aaron Long, Daniel Edelman and Jesus Castellano are away from the club on national team duty.
