INSIDE THE 18: Red Bulls Ready for Open Cup Semifinal vs. Orlando City

The New York Red Bulls are one step away from the U.S. Open Cup Final -- with Orlando City SC standing in their way on Wednesday night in Florida.

Head Coach Gerhard Struber will start Patryk Klimala, Luquinhas and Omir Fernandez in the attack for RBNY.

This will be the second overall meeting between New York and Orlando this season, with the Red Bulls earning three points in a 3-0 win against Orlando at Exploria Stadium on April 24. Brazilian midfielder Luquinhas scored the game-winning goal in the match, which was his first career MLS goal.

Cristian Cásseres Jr. and Frankie Amaya will lock down the defensive midfield.

Casseres, Jr. has made four career Open Cup appearances, including three this season. The Venezulan international has scored in three-straight matches against Orlando City SC, including two-straight matches. Casseres has scored two of his three career goals against Orlando at Exploria Stadium.

John Tolkin and Lewis Morgan likely work in the wingback position, with Aaron Long, Sean Nealis and Dylan Nealis along the back line, ahead of Carlos Coronel in goal.

This will be the 17th all-time meeting between the two clubs, New York holds the advantage with a 9-5-2 mark, and this will be the first-ever Open Cup meeting between the squads.

Struber will have Tom Barlow, Caden Clark, Daniel Edelman, Cameron Harper, Andrés Reyes and Dru Yearwood available off the bench. Ryan Meara will serve as backup goalkeeper.

Tom Edwards will miss the match due to a red card in the quarterfinal game.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET with coverage on ESPN+ and New York Red Bulls Radio in English and Spanish via TuneIn, the New York Red Bulls app and NewYorkRedBulls.com.

New York Red Bulls Radio begins at 7 p.m. ET with Countdown to Kickoff, presented by Honda, hosted by Matt Harmon and Steve Jolley. Stefano Fusaro will carry the Spanish play-by-play responsibilities, beginning at 7 p.m. ET.
