INSIDE THE 18: Red Bulls Return to MLS Play vs. Colorado Rapids

The New York Red Bulls are back to their MLS schedule, hosting the Colorado Rapids on Tuesday night at Red Bull Arena.

New York will deploy Lewis Morgan and Patryk Klimala up top, with Luquinhas in behind.

Morgan has scored a goal in four of the club’s last five home matches at Red Bull Arena. Morgan currently leads the club with 12 goals across all competitions and currently ranks tied for third among active MLS midfielders this season in goals scored with nine MLS goals. The Scottish winger has scored two goals outside the 18-yard-box this season, which ranks tied for fourth in MLS with fellow Red Bulls midfielder Luquinhas.

Dru Yearwood and Cristian Cásseres Jr. anchor the defensive midfield.

John Tolkin and Dylan Nealis start at wingback, while Sean Nealis, Aaron Long and Andrés Reyes get the nod in front of Carlos Coronel in goal.

The Red Bulls have won five of their last six matches across all competitions at Red Bull Arena and have outscored their opponents, 14-4, in those matches. New York have scored 34 goals this season, which ranks the sixth most in MLS. The Red Bulls have scored three or more goals eight times this season, after only doing that once last season.

Frankie Amaya, Tom Barlow, Caden Clark, Daniel Edelman, Omir Fernandez, Cameron Harper, Zach Ryan, Steven Sserwadda are available off the bench for New York. Ryan Meara will serve as backup goalkeeper.

Tom Edwards is suspended due to yellow card accumulation.

New York Red Bulls Radio begins at 6:30 p.m. ET with Countdown to Kickoff, presented by Honda, hosted by Matt Harmon and Steve Jolley. Stefano Fusaro will carry the Spanish play-by-play responsibilities, beginning at 7 p.m. ET.
