INSIDE THE 18: Sean Nealis, Andrés Reyes Pair Up on Defense

Sean Nealis and Andrés Reyes are both back in the Starting XI after missing the previous match due to yellow card accumulation. 

Cristian CĂ¡sseres Jr. is also back in the lineup following his yellow card accumulation suspension. 

This will be the 26th overall regular season meeting between New York and Montreal, with the Red Bulls holding the advantage with a 13-10-2 mark. New York have posted an 11-2-0 record against CF Montreal at Red Bull Arena, which includes a 4-2-0 mark in their last six matches against the side at home.

Nealis and Reyes start on the backline alongside Dylan Nealis and John Tolkin. CĂ¡sseres Jr. is paired in the midfield with Peter Stroud.

The Red Bulls defense has only allowed 11 goals in 13 matches played, which ranks tied for the fourth lowest in MLS and tied for the second lowest in the Eastern Conference. In their last three matches across all competitions, New York has not allowed a goal in 329 minutes of play.

Cory Burke, Omir Fernandez, Dru Yearwood and Wiki Carmona push the attack forward.

Head Coach Troy Lesesne will have Tom Barlow, Elias Manoel, Dante Vanzeir, Ronald Donkor, Cameron Harper, Hassan Ndam, Matt Nocita and Jayden Reid available off the bench. Ryan Meara will serve as backup goalkeeper.

Luquinhas, Lewis Morgan, Frankie Amaya, Kyle Duncan, Serge Ngoma and Steven Sserwadda remain sidelined with injuries.
