INSIDE THE 18: Tom Barlow Starts for RBNY vs. Portland Timbers

The New York Red Bulls will deploy Tom Barlow up top to start vs. Portland Timbers on a rainy Saturday night at Red Bull Arena.

Barlow starts, supported by Luquinhas and Lewis Morgan in the attack.

Patryk Klimala will miss the match due to being in MLS' health and safety protocols.

Cristian Cásseres Jr. and Frankie Amaya start in the defensive midfield.

New York are 3-1-1 against Portland at Red Bull Arena in franchise history. 

John Tolkin and Dylan Nealis will serve as wingbacks, with Aaron Long, Sean Nealis and Tom Edwards along the backline.

Carlos Coronel starts in goal for New York.

Head Coach Gerhard Struber will have Daniel Edelman, Omir Fernandez, Ashley Fletcher, Lucas Monzón, Zach Ryan and Dru Yearwood available off the bench. Ryan Meara will serve as backup goalkeeper.

Caden Clark remains sidelined with an injury.
