Despite scoring four goals in four league games this season, Head Coach Jesse Marsch said they will come.

“I know we’re going to score goals. We’ve done that a lot over the last two years,” Marsch said following training on Tuesday. “We’re good at that. We’ll be dangerous. We’ll create chances.”

Marsch said that the team isn’t in midseason form yet and that they’re focusing a lot on making sure every player is fit and sharp.

“We spent a good amount of time doing fitness [today],” Marsch said. “We’re building in different soccer exercises so we get sharper.”

New York scored two goals in their season opening win, added another in a Week 2 win, added a fourth goal in their loss in Week 3 before a scoreless draw in Week 4.

“It’s just a matter of getting guys confident, sharp and fit,” the head coach said
