New York Red Bulls defender Justin Bilyeu is playing with a broken metacarpal bone in his hand, Head Coach Jesse Marsch said on Thursday.
Bilyeu broke his hand during training, but can still practice and play.
The defender "can still play as tolerated," the head coach said.
"Today was his first day back on the field," Marsch said. "It seemed OK, it wasn't perfect, but I think each day it will get a little better."
