Keys to the Game Toronto 2020

After Saturday night’s win at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the New York Red Bulls visit Toronto FC. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Here are the Keys to the Game, presented by Honda:

Add More Wins to Road Record

Since the conclusion of the MLS is Back Tournament, the Red Bulls have won three road games.

In those three wins, they scored seven goals and conceded once.

Without a doubt the visit to Toronto will be a tough one as was the one to Orlando City several weeks ago.

Big Tests Coming Up for Defense

On Saturday night, New York achieved their fourth clean sheet of 2020. For goalkeeper Ryan Meara, it was his second shutout of the present season.

The two games coming up will be great tests for the Red Bulls. Both Toronto and Orlando City have scored 28 goals this season and are among the top-3 best offenses in the Eastern Conference.

Also this season, the defense has contributed goals and assists. Sean Nealis, Kyle Duncan, Mandela Egbo and Jason Pendant have grabbed assists, while Duncan and Aaron Long have scored goals.

Toronto Already Clinched a Playoff Spot

On Sunday night, Toronto FC clinched a playoff spot after their 1-0 win over FC Cincinnati.

Midfielder Alejandro Pozuelo has scored seven goals and grabbed 10 assists.

They’re currently on a seven-game undefeated streak.
