The New York Red Bulls (6-3-5, 23 pts.) begin a two-match homestand, starting with a battle against Charlotte FC (6-5-3, 21 pts.) on Wednesday, May 29 at Red Bull Arena for the club’s first-ever Bark Night.

Elias Manoel has scored six career goals in four career appearances against Charlotte FC. This
includes a hat-trick in the 2023 MLS Cup Playoffs Wild Card match, where the Red Bulls won, 5-2 at Red Bull Arena. Besides that match, Manoel has scored three goals in three career MLS matches against Charlotte.

The Brazilian forward has recorded a goal or an assist in all three career matches against Charlotte FC at Red Bull Arena. Will he keep his scoring prowess rolling against Charlotte on Wednesday?

Good Charlotte

Charlotte has not allowed a goal against in their last five matches. They have not allowed a goal at all during the month of May.

The last time they gave up a goal was April 27 against NYCFC, a 2-1 loss with New York scoring the game-winner in the 93rd minute. Since then, they’ve won three and drawn twice, with four of those matches coming at home.


Since Red Bull Arena opened in 2010, the Red Bulls are tied for the most wins (136) at home and have earned the most points at home (461) in MLS.

New York has recorded 91 shutouts over the last 10-plus seasons at Red Bull Arena. Carlos Coronel recorded his 18th career MLS clean sheet at RBA against Chicago Fire FC on April 13.
