The New York Red Bulls (4-1-4, 16 pts.) host Vancouver Whitecaps FC (5-2-1, 16 pts) on Saturday, April 27 for the first time since 2019 at Red Bull Arena.

Here are the Keys to the Game, presented by Toyota:

Brian’s Back

Former New York Red Bulls forward Brian White is returning to his home state for the first time since departing the club in a trade back in 2021.

White has gone on to appear in almost 100 matches for Vancouver, with 33 goals to his name in MLS play. The attacker, who spent time with New York’s U-23 squad and Red Bulls II, will be sure to get a warm welcome home on Saturday night.

Good As Gauld

New York’s six match unbeaten home streak faces off against Vancouver’s three wins to open the 2024 season away from home.

Anchored by Ryan Gauld, who has put up three goals and two assist this season, Vancouver is flying high and battling New York in the Supporters’ Shield standings.

Sweet Swede

Emil Forsberg bagged his second goal of the season against LAFC on Saturday night, bringing home a point from a difficult away day.

The captain has two goals and two assists in just over 600 minutes, helping the Red Bulls to find themselves near the precipice of both the Eastern Conference and the Supporters’ Shield standings after nine matches.

This will be the club’s first-ever College Night at Red Bull Arena. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET with coverage on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV in English and Spanish and New York Red Bulls Radio in English via TuneIn, the New York Red Bulls app and NewYorkRedBulls.com.
