The New York Red Bulls would like to congratulate Legends at the Football Factory in New York City on winning the MLS Pubs Viewfest competition. During the course of the 2011 season, fans throughout the league were asked to check in to various bars and viewing parties to show support for their club. Legends topped them all with an impressive 47 percent – nearly half of the league’s total check-ins - coming from 6 W 33rd St. in New York City.
Legends hosted a number of Red Bulls viewing parties this season, but one particular night stands out above the rest. On Saturday, Sept. 17, Legends played host to the largest viewing party in MLS history when over 400 Red Bulls fans watched New York claim a 1-0 victory over FC Dallas. That win marked the first ‘W’ of the team’s strong 4-2-1 run that helped the Red Bulls claim a spot in the postseason.
As a result of collecting the most check ins, Legends will receive an MLS sponsored viewing party for this weekend’s MLS Cup, complete with official MLS swag, coasters, MLS Cup gear, pint glasses and more. If you already planned on watching this weekend’s championship match, you might as well do it up at Legends to watch in the company of other soccer fans and perhaps even walk away with some extra gear.
