Luis Robles is now the franchise leader in saves.
Robles made save No. 630, passing Tony Meola for the top spot in club history.
The captain made the save in his 220th match -- and start -- for New York.
Robles is the league's ironman, with 183 straight starts, which was snapped in 2018, a stretch of 16,470 minutes. (That doesn't include 1,650 minutes of MLS playoffs. That doesn't include 990 minutes of Concacaf Champions League. That doesn't include 390 minutes of Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.)
Robles etched his name into the MLS record books when he broke Kevin Hartmann’s all-time MLS record of 112 complete games against Colorado on April 16, 2016 and set a new league record for consecutive starts with No. 119 against NYCFC. He continued all the way to 183 before the streak ended.
The Fort Huachuca, Arizona native is the only player in MLS history to start 100 consecutive games for the same franchise. He surpassed Dax McCarty on August 18, 2017 for the franchise lead in starts by a field player or goalkeeper with 164.
Robles recently moved into the No. 8 position in MLS clean sheets, now with 67 in his career in league play.
