HARRISON, N.J. (July 11, 2017) – The New York Red Bulls match against the Portland Timbers has been moved to Friday, August 18 at 10 p.m. ET, Major League Soccer announced today. The match, originally scheduled for Sunday, August 20, will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1, Fox Deportes, and New York Red Bulls Radio.
It will be the only regular-season meeting of the year between the two sides. The teams played to a scoreless draw last season at Red Bull Arena, and the Red Bulls took the last meeting in Portland, in September of 2015.
New York faces the New England Revolution this Thursday in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, and is next home to host the San Jose Earthquakes on Wednesday, July 19.
