The New York Red Bulls battle Atlético de San Luis of Liga MX for the first-time ever on Sunday, July 30 at Red Bull Arena. This will be New York’s second group stage match of the 2023 Leagues Cup. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV and New York Red Bulls Radio in English via TuneIn, the New York Red Bulls app, and NewYorkRedBulls.com.

Coverage on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV in English and Spanish begins at 7:30 p.m. ET. Callum Williams will have the primary play-by-play responsibilities and will be alongside Calen Carr on the English side, Bruno Vain will have the play-by-play responsibilities alongside Andres Agulla on the Spanish broadcast. New York Red Bulls Radio begins at 7 p.m. ET with Countdown to Kickoff, presented by Honda, hosted by Matt Harmon and Steve Jolley.

This will be the first ever matchup between the two clubs in their history. Atlético de San Luis was promoted to Liga MX in 2019 and currently sit in sixth place in Liga MX Apetura after three matches with a 1-1-1 record. San Luis suffered a 5-1 defeat to New England Revolution at Gillette Stadium on Wednesday night. New York will need a win or draw against San Luis on Sunday to advance to the knockout stage of the 2023 Leagues Cup. This will be the first time since 2019 that New York has played an Liga MX opponent, which was Santos Laguna in the 2019 CONCACAF Champions League.

New York Red Bulls goalkeeper Carlos Coronel recorded his sixth clean sheet of the season across all competitions after tying New England 0-0 on Saturday, July 22. Coronel has tallied 29 career shutouts for the Red Bulls across all competitions with 26 MLS, 2 Open Cup, and 1 Leagues Cup. The Paraguayan goalkeeper helped New York win the penalty shootout in their first Leagues Cup match after saving a shot in the last turn.

Following Sunday’s match, New York’s next match in the Leagues Cup will be determined depending on the result of their match against Atlético de San Luis.
