HARRISON, N.J. (August 11, 2016) - The NewYorkRedBulls return home on Saturday night to host the Montreal Impact. Kickoff at Red Bull Arena is set for 7 p.m. with coverage on MSG, MSGO GO and RedBulls Radio on TuneIn.
Coverage on RedBulls Radio gets underway at 6 p.m., with Countdown to Kickoff hosted by Matt Harmon. Harmon will call the game in English with former Red Bull and MetroStar Steve Jolley, while Ernesto Motta provides Spanish play-by-play beginning at kickoff.
Sirius XM FC channel 85 will also broadcast the game beginning at 7 p.m.
NewYork will look to extend its unbeaten streak to seven MLS games after earning back-to-back 2-2 draws on the road at Chicago and Los Angeles in the last two weeks. The RedBulls haven't lost in the last seven overall, including a 3-0 home win in the first match of the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League last Wednesday.
NewYork is a perfect 5-0-0 all-time against Montreal at home. NewYork is 8-2-1 at home this season, and 7-0-1 since dropping two of the first three league games at Red Bull Arena. Over the last eight home games, NewYork is outscoring opponents 19-3, and held a home shutout streak of 588 minutes from April 24 to July 24.The RedBulls have the second-most home wins in MLS this year, and the most in the Eastern Conference.
NewYork enters in third place in the East, tied on points with the Impact. Montreal defeated Houston at home last weekend, and is 2-1-2 over its last five matches. The Impact defeated the RedBulls, 3-0 at the Olympic Stadium back in the second week of the season.
Ignacio Piatti leads the Impact with 12 goals this season, tied with Bradley Wright-Phillips for third-most in MLS. Didier Drogba has eight goals and five assists this season.
After Saturday, NewYork travels to El Salvador to face Alianza in the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League on Tuesday night. NewYork returns to MLS action with a trip to D.C. to face D.C. United on Sunday, August 21.
