
HARRISON, N.J. (April 22, 2016) - The New York Red Bulls return home on Sunday to host Orlando City SC in a nationally-televised match at Red Bull Arena. The Red Bulls look to regroup after two matches on the road while the organization celebrates the 20th anniversary of its inaugural home match.
The match will be available on FS1 and Fox Deportes, with English and Spanish coverage on Red Bulls Radio on TuneIn.
It will be Wings for Life Night at Red Bull Arena. Wings for Life is a not-for-profit research foundation with a mission of finding a cure for spinal cord injury. The organization funds world-class scientific research and clinical trials around the globe aimed at healing the injured spinal cord.
Former Rutgers football player Eric LeGrand, who was paralyzed in an October 2010 college football game and has been at the forefront of raising awareness and funds for spinal cord injury research, will be honored for his efforts in the pre-game festivities.
The Red Bulls dropped two on the road last week, falling 2-0 at San Jose on Wednesday, followed by a 2-1 loss at Colorado on Saturday as snow fell at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.
Ronald Zubar erased a 1-0 deficit in Colorado with his first goal of the season, but a late goal from Dominique Badji saw the Red Bulls fall to 1-6-0 on the season.
New York is 1-2-0 at home this season, most recently falling to Kansas City, 2-0 on April 9. Prior to that, the Red Bulls battled back to defeat the Houston Dynamo, 4-3, behind two goals from midfielder Felipe.
Orlando City enters at 2-1-3, including a 1-1-0 record on the road. Last weekend, the Lions settled for a 2-2 draw with the New England Revolution after conceding a late penalty for a handball inside the penalty area.
Cyle Larin leads Orlando City with three goals this season. The Canadian international netted a hat trick last season at Red Bull Arena, as the Lions took a 5-2 win in September.
The teams split a pair of matchups in Orlando City's inaugural MLS season, with New York winning away at the Citrus Bowl in July.
