NYRB II are coming off a 3-1 win against Charlotte Independence and their first home win of the season. Forward Jeremy Rafanello scored his first professional brace, while also adding an assist in the victory. Roald Mitchell, the Montclair, NJ native, added the third goal and his second of the year.
This will be the 12th USL Championship regular season meeting between New York and Pittsburgh, with the series being tied with a 5-5-1 mark. NYRB II own a 1-2-1 record at Highmark Stadium. The last time out Pittsburgh defeated NYRB II, 3-0, at MSU Soccer Park on May 28.
